Lucy Fyffe Parham

Biography and work of Lucy Fyffe Parham

Lucy received a Foundation in Art and Design at Wimbledon College of Art and a BA(Hons) in English Literature and Language at the University of Oxford. Originally she had been accepted to the Ruskin School of Fine Art, Oxford University, to study Fine Art but she reapplied at the end of her first year due to the lack of skills-based training.

Having given up hope on art, Lucy discovered LARA quite by accident and was a full-time student three days later. Lucy loves passing on the skills she has learnt and regularly teaches on LARA’s Easter and Summer Schools.

Lucy exhibited her charcoal and chalk portrait of Megan in the Royal Society of Portrait Painter’s Annual Exhibition 2017.

‘Super friendly and encouraging tutor, nobody was left behind, everyone got enough attention. Very inspiring.’ – Jan Bock, Portrait Drawing Workshop

‘Lucy has been an excellent tutor and coach. Her dedication, enthusiasm and skills have made the course into a great experience. Her teaching has been exceedingly competent technically, and her knowledge has been transmitted with passion, plenty of humour, and tact. She made all the difference between an average masterclass and an excellent one.’ – Fabio Favata, Portrait Drawing Workshop

‘I learnt an astonishing amount and it definitely gave me food for thought. I really appreciated your enthusiasm and ceaseless support – it really helped!’ – Benjamin Sharpe, Cast Drawing Workshop
