Following the success of their first session tribute to Frida Kahlo and second session tribute to Egon Schiele, the pioneers behind AMC, Carla and Manko, will host their third session tribute to Gustav Klimt, posing together in a combination of short and long, clothed and nude poses, set to a specially curated soundtrack and live readings.
Both AMC models have been posing at LARA for many years, but so far only individually, in weeks-long sustained nude poses, usually in classic contrapposto…. that is, up til now! LARA is excited to host the dynamic duo under their own terms and to see what exciting work our students and friends will create at what promise to be stylish, sparkling, vivacious and glamorous events!
Carla and Manko will plunge deep inside Klimt’s creative mind to explore portraiture, the human figure, opulence and style, all in tribute to the RA’s upcoming exhibition ‘Klimt/Schiele: Drawings from the Albertina Museum, Vienna.’
The three-hour Sunday sessions will be relaxed, informal and fun, yet set in the main figure room of LARA’s professional atelier studio – a unique blend we hope inspires many conversations over the months about skill, creativity and inspiration.
The sessions will be untutored and open to every level of skill.
Chairs and drawing boards will be provided for all and there are 18 easels available on a first-come, first-served basis and the spaces are limited.
AMC will provide a selection of paper and free materials courtesy of GreatArt. Artists are encouraged to experiment with different media – varied charcoals, pastels, pencils, pens and even chunky markers. (You are welcome to use wet materials like inks, watercolours and oils, but please bring your own.)
