Aggregate | Freya Nash

Freya Nash is a graduate from Central Saint Martins (BFA). Her work attempts to capture exquisite abjection by depicting what should remain inside, behind a protective layer of skin, that both attracts and repels and is the axis between life and death. Nash’s paintings draw on methods of representation from the Renaissance period, from religious and anatomical depictions, as well as from contemporary Surrealist and Abstract painting.

This work – Aggregate – was selected to show at LARA’s Graduating in Paint, an exhibition of artists working in innovative ways across the field of painting who have graduated from art schools across the UK.
