Funding Opportunities

If you are looking for funding to enable you to enrol in our full or part-time course, there are a few organisations that provide grants to students looking to undertake skills-based training such as ours.

Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust

The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) offers Scholarships of up to £18,000 for training in crafts (skills-based arts).

You must be 17 years old or older and be committed to contributing to the UK crafts sector. The fund can cover the cost of the course, as well as costs directly related to your training such as transport, equipment, materials, accommodation and living costs. The application must be made in advance of the start of the course, as it cannot fund retrospectively (anything already paid for).

More details can be found on the QEST website:

The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation

The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation grant is available to emerging figurative artists.

The fund supports those who are pursuing their studies, or are in the early developmental stage of their career, working in representational painting, drawing, sculpture or printmaking, with a desire to develop a career in that artform.

First grants are in the amount of CAD $15,000 (£9,351.49). Subsequent grants are in the amount of CAD $18,000 (£11,221.91) Grantee may not receive more than three grants in their lifetime.
