New Graduate | Radoslav Topolov

LARA would like to offer congratulations to scholarship student Radoslav Topolov on his graduation this term

From the start of his time at LARA Radoslav stood out as someone with incredible dedication towards excellence in his atelier training. Proving himself to be an early asset to the school he soon became an invaluable member of the team, working with diligence and passion throughout his four years at LARA.

Being interested in art since an early age, Radoslav started his career as an illustrator at the age of nineteen. During that time, he studied at the New Bulgarian University in Sofia, later to receive his bachelor's degree in fine arts. After graduating and working a few more years as an artist for the entertainment industry, Radoslav came to LARA to build a more solid understanding of the fundamentals of drawing and painting, with the desire to bring his own work closer to nature. After studying under the tutors at LARA for one year, he decided to stay in London, complete his atelier training and pursue a career as a painter.

During his training Radoslav has exhibited in various major London shows including Royal Portrait Society Annual Exhibition, Royal Society of British Artists and won second place in the ARC scholarship Awards 2015.

'Radoslav Topalov has been an exemplary student and teacher providing support to students and staff throughout his scholarship. He has been pivotal in helping LARA grow to where it is today, setting the bar high with his exemplary work ethic and drive. Needless to say he is a very talented and dedicated artist, we wish him every success and look forward to witnessing the next phase of his career.' James Napier | Director
