A term referring to the revival of art influenced by Classical models during the 14th, 15th and 16th Centuries. The term is generally considered hardly adequate to describe a period which covers the works of such talents as Giotto, Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo da Vinci and Titian.
