Studio Rules

The studio should remain silent during working hours.
All mobile phones should be switched off, or on silent, during working hours.
The studio must be kept tidy.
Drawing boards and paintings must be put into their allocated places after each session and not left leaning against studio walls.
At the end of each session, drawings and paintings
should be taken home.
Smoking is not permitted in the studio.
Students should keep their equipment in the allocated spaces. LARA will not be held responsible
for loss or damage of studio work or equipment.
Students should not leave personal belongings/property at the studio. LARA will not be held responsible
for loss or damage to personal belongings.
Students are expected to keep the casts and easels in good condition.

Acommodation

Regrettably, the LARA is unable to provide students with accommodation, but we will try and help where we can.

Home Office student visas

Most people, excepting citizens of the countries of the European Union, need a student visa for entry to the UK. Always check your status before setting out. For full information, see the Home Office website: http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/

Application

Application is open to all: there are no restrictions on age or experience.

  • The LARA reserves the right to refuse any application.
  • Students are expected to bring, or purchase their own materials.
  • The LARA does not charge overseas students a premium.
  • Course places are allocated on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis.
  • The school shop is open daily.
