Learn to draw the figure in the sight-size tradition.
Weekend Figure Drawing -Long Pose
Study long-pose figure drawing in pencil or charcoal. We teach a clear and simple approach to developing an accurate, naturalistic figure drawing using the sight-size technique. Students can expect the same high quality of teaching as can be found in our full time courses. Working from the model in a sustained pose over 6 weeks, students will learn the fundamentals of ’sight size’ technique in the context of line and mass drawing and, ultimately, in painting. The teaching structure is basically the same as for the daytime figure courses, and we offer the unique advantage of students retaining their own spot every week, enabling everyone to experience the value of studying a prolonged pose. If you want read a more about LARA’s approach to drawing the figure please view the following page - Figure Drawing Demo
Students can either study for the full six weeks or opt for our flexible deal, this allows students to pick five Saturdays that suit their schedules best out of the six consecutive weekends. Applicants can sign up for the morning class, the afternoon class, or the whole day. Due to the atelier method of teaching it is possible to study for a shorter period of time (subject to availability) or to join after the start date. But we would recommend a minimum of three days to really benefit from the teaching. No prior experience needed.
